I had to figure out what worked, how to create processes, what software programs to use, how to track clients and leads, schedule social media consistently, and so much more. My journey hasn’t always been easy. I’ve faced my own share of obstacles and setbacks, and I know how difficult it can be to navigate the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, keep things organized, and create systems and procedures, ALL while doing everything else in my business. That's what we're talking about today with Samantha Siffring. Samantha is a business coach and founder of an operations/marketing agency that supports small business owners. She has degrees in psychology, marketing, and counseling, and is a certified coach. She lives in Denver, Colorado, with her husband, three kids, and three pets, and loves travel, reading, and making things beautiful.
In this episode, I talk with Samantha about the process of hiring help in your coaching business. She emphasizes the importance of recognizing when you've reached capacity and need additional support. She advises coaches to assess their capacity and budget before hiring, ensuring they have enough tasks and finances to allocate to a team member. Samantha also highlights setting up basic systems and procedures before bringing someone on board. She reassures coaches that it's okay to seek help and delegate tasks that are not their strengths.
We both encourage coaches to overcome any shame or embarrassment they may feel about their "messy" businesses.
Samantha emphasizes the importance of

As I embarked on the journey of starting my podcast, I felt like a novice, trying to figure it out, typing the steps I'd take into my Google Doc, and figuring it out as I went. That's how developing a process works. Messy. Raw. Getting it on paper. Refining as you go.
Then, this messy document transformed into a well-structured plan, guiding me through the production process, from recording to editing, scheduling to promoting.
It started as an overwhelming task. But I trusted in the process and kept at it. Now as I reflect on my journey, I can't help but thank my past self for her persistence.

Warning: Schedule time on your calendar to organize your bookmark bar. Don't do this INSTEAD of completing tasks that will bring you money in your business. Use it as a reward.
- Use the Bookmark Manager in Google Chrome to organize your bookmarks.
- Create folders for different categories.
- Sort your bookmarks into the appropriate folders.
- Empty the "Other Bookmarks" folder.
- Edit bookmarks to remove the name and only display the favicon.
- Customize your bookmark bar with your most frequently used bookmarks.

First, if you keep using people to do robot tasks, you will not scale. You cannot scale without automation. When you pick out the pieces of a process and automate them, you remove limits...it's magical.
Then, "Typing, clicking copying and pasting is wasting." Use automation.
Toward the end, Jesse shares an example that saved a client $9K! That was just the beginning.
